RIPON — A Ripon medical administrative assistant and cancer survivor is organizing a second document shredding and e-waste collection to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Carol Bauman – a cancer survivor herself – said she is promoting the electronic waste recycle service along with the service of a professional document shredding operation at 150 North Vera Avenue on Saturday, April 17.

Bauman said there is no fixed fee for the service that also includes eye glass collection, but she is encouraging a donation to the American Cancer Society of at least $10.  The collection program is set to begin at 8 a.m. and will run until noon, she said.

The eye glasses are going to be sent to underdeveloped countries in need, she added.

E-waste items that are going to be accepted include stereos, cell phones, faxes, keyboards, plasma screens, batteries, monitors, laptops, servers, printers, mice, computers, copiers, telephones TVs, and LCD screens.

For more information call 599-2520 or 985-3206.  Bauman is making use of licensed, certified and bonded professional services.
