Roth Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Tuesday, Aug. 18, through Thursday, Aug. 20, while the Union Pacific Railroad replaces a railway crossing.

People traveling east on Roth Road from the I-5 Freeway will be detoured to travel south on Harlan Road, east on Lathrop Road and north on Airport Road. The detour will end at Roth Road where normal travel may resume.

People traveling west on Roth Road will be directed south on Airport Road, west on Lathrop Road and north on Harlan Road. The detour will end at Roth Road, where normal travel may resume.

Construction crews will be replacing the eastern most railway crossing. All businesses west of the crossing, including Sharpe Army Depot, may be accessed from the west while the Intermodal Truck facility may be accessed from the east.

In order to create a safe environment both for the workers and the driving public, it is necessary to close this section of the roadway for the duration of the work.
