Sr. Ann Venita Britto and her Ministry of Caring will have plenty of sweet treats available for Thursday’s senior luncheon at St. Anthony’s parish gymnasium.

The special senior Halloween event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the church facility at Fremont and Sutter streets in Manteca.

Seniors, regardless of their religious affiliations, are invited free of charge to enjoy a nice meal with all of the fixings made possible by Sr. Ann and her Ministry of Caring.

Students from nearby St Anthony’s School help out as servers.

According to Sr. Ann, the gift bags and goodies were donated by Jeane and Joe Rowen; Darlene Auch; Steve and Miguel Costa; and Dan and Judy DeRuyter.

Many of the regulars are expected to attend, including folks from Prestige, Emeritus, Almond Blossom, Valley CAPS, and St. Jude’s Care Center, to name a few.

Live music will accompany the event.

In addition, Sr. Ann will recognize those celebrating October birthdays.
