Sister Ann Venita Britto can add shirt designer among the many things she does on a regular basis.

Her latest work can be found in the t-shirts and men’s polo style for the upcoming St. Anthony’s Church Harvest Festival.

“It took me a day to design the shirt,” Sister Ann said on Monday.

She incorporated this year’s Harvest Festival theme “One in the Spirit” – decided by the committee for the only major fundraiser of the parish – into her efforts.

Sister Ann has been in charge of designing the Harvest Festival shirts for the past five years, calling it part of her duty.

Numerous times a year, she and her Ministry of Caring go out their way to make area seniors feel special by hosting luncheon gatherings.

They do the same for consumers of the Valley Community Action Program and Services – formerly known as Manteca CAPS – a non-profit program for adults with developmental disabilities.

As for the shirts, the cost range in price, from $10 for T-shirts to $16 for the adult-sized polo.

The Harvest Festival is scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 18-19, but the shirts are on sale after the weekend Masses and at the school and parish office.

The annual event will again take place on church grounds along Fremont and Sutter streets.

Admission is free to all comers.

The festival will feature plenty of food booths, games, activities and attractions.
