Soroptimist International of Manteca opted to forgo their annual gift exchange between members this year in order to donate money to help community non-profits.
They purchased a brand new clothes dryer from Center Appliance for the Haven of Peace women and children’s shelter in French Camp. They also bought unwrapped Christmas gifts for women and children at the shelter. The Haven of Peace is a 38-bed facility.
They also bought 15 canned hams for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
The Hospice of San Joaquin also received a donation from the club to support the help they give many people in the final days of their lives.
