STOCKTON — The Stockton Symphony presents the Sphinx Virtuosi in a special concert on Friday, Oct.21, at 7:30 p.m. at Faye Spanos Hall on the University of the Pacific campus.
The concert will benefit the Symphony’s free after-school music education program, Harmony Stockton.
The eighteen musicians performing in Stockton are top alumni of the Sphinx Competition for talented young African-American and Latino musicians. The Sphinx Virtuosi are touring the nation in celebration of their 15th anniversary. Tickets are $25 and student tickets are $10. Call 209-951-0196.
On Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2:30 p.m. the Friends of Chamber Music will present the Imani Wind Quintet, also at Faye Spanos Concert Hall at UOP.
