Sr. Joseph Key, began Navy boot camp on April 27, 2009 and graduated from Navy boot camp June 19, 2009. He began “A” school at NSTC for CS Specialist where he will work for two years before transferring to the (CTN) program to begin training as a Crypto Logic Technician. He will begin his duty on the destroyer the USS Chafee in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor.

He will begin his tour of duty on August 26. He is the son of Dana Sherman of Manteca and Tony Key of Linden. He is a 2005 graduate of Manteca High School.
