A Ripon man has been arrested on charges he stabbed a relative,

Ripon Police responded to a residence in the 900 block of Kirk Court on Thursday at 1:43 a.m. regarding a medical emergency.

It was determined the victim had been stabbed twice in the chest area. The victim, who is a family member of the suspect as well as a resident of the home, was transported by Ripon Fire Department to a local hospital for his injuries.

Detectives ultimately arrested Jonathan Ross, 30, of Ripon. Ross was subsequently booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
