SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A California Highway Patrol helicopter plucked two teenagers clinging to the side of a San Francisco Bay Area cliff in a dramatic rescue captured on video.

The helicopter was called to the cliff about two miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge on Friday around 6:30 p.m. CHP Officer Daniel Hill says the 17 and 18-year-old boys were stuck to the cliff about 75 feet above a beach and had no way of getting down.

They were wearing beach clothes and had no shoes. Hill says the area was not close to a road, making a high angle rope rescue out of the question. In the video, a rescuer aboard the helicopter lowers a harness and picks up each boy separately. They are dropped off on a beach.

They were not hurt.
