Juvenile Hall open house set for Thursday, July 26

The San Joaquin County Probation Department is hosting a Juvenile Hall Open House on Thursday, July 26, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The facility is at 575 W. Matthews Road, French Camp.

Parking will be available at the Juvenile Justice Center parking lot (the court building) at 535 Mathews Road.

The tour for the general public will visit one unoccupied living unit, intake, visitors’ center and the Dream Center. All ages are welcome to visit.  Parents/guardians are responsible for children brought into the facility.

Tours will be provided by probation staff. The public will not visit or see youth detained at the facility.

Visitors must leave all personal belongings including cell phones and cameras in their vehicles. All visitors will be searched before entering the facility.

The open house is part of Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Week.

The week is designed to recognize the men and women who work each and every day to supervise offenders in our communities, but who also provide support mechanisms to assist the people they supervise to get housing, jobs, and treatment to begin addressing their needs and change the way they think.
