Manteca announces winners for parade, decorating trees

Winners of the Christmas Tree in the Park contest and the related scene along with the top parade entries have been announced by Manteca Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Joann Beattie.
All first place winners will be receiving a small trophy to mark the event.
Girl Scout Troop 726 took first place honors in decorating Christmas trees with Girl Scouts Big Valley Troop taking second place.  Century 21 M&M Associates received the chamber’s first place nod for the scene and second place honors went to Manteca Trailer & Camper.
The Central Valley Early Iron Car Club garnered a first place trophy in the auto club division and the police volunteer Sharp’s Unit was first in the Auto Vintage and Classic pre-1965 grouping.
Manteca District Ambulance received a first place trophy in decorated vehicles with Manteca Floral took  second and Starfrutas taking third.  The East Union High School JROTC color guard captured a first place in the Open Color Guard division with VFW Post 6311 taking second and Manteca High’s JROTC unit taking third.  East Union High School’s JROTC also took a first in the Drill Team Open Category.
In the All Float Divisions, Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis Club took the first place trophy while the police volunteer emergency CERT team took a second.  Manteca Seventh Day Adventist Church took first place in the Religious category, while in the Youth division, Manteca Youth Focus was first and East Union High School Future Farmers of America took second and Girl Scout Troop 2045 was third.
And in the Commercial Division,  Doctors Hospital of Manteca and Old McGowan’s Feed store tied for first place.  Bass Pro/Tracker came in third place. For the Individual/Family category, the first place trophy went to the Wilcox Family.
In the ID Unit competition, Weston Ranch High School’s JROTC took first place with East Union High marking second place and Manteca High accepting the third place honors.  In the Motorcycle division the Sikh Temple of Manteca took first place.
First place in the Elementary School Musical Unit category went to Brock Elliott Elementary School  and the combination Shasta and Woodward elementary schools took second while the combination of Stella Brockman, Veritas, Joshua Cowell, Nile Garden and New Haven schools joint band took third place.
In the high schools Musical Unit competition East Union High School took first place, Manteca High, second and Sierra High finished third.
In the Novelty/Miscellaneous 12 and Under category the Girl Scouts Big Valley Service Unit took first place, California Canine, second and Brock Elliot Elementary School Cheer Squad took third.  The Novelty/Miscellaneous 13 and Up competition Princess Party Fun also finished in first place.
The Twirling Group completion saw Graffiti Sweeties finish in first place and the Manteca Shooting Stars were in second place.
Three mounted groups shared first place honors: Spurs and Lace, San Joaquin Horsemen Queen and the Mexican Side Saddle Group.
