Market & Music in Manteca starts summer run Tuesday

The Penetrators Grove Band will kick off Market & Music in Manteca’s 2016 summer run on Tuesday, June 7, at Library Park.

The Manteca-based band is part of the farmers market that runs from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The Manteca Chamber of Commerce event runs for 10 weeks on Tuesday through the end of August.

Besides vegetables and fruits the event will feature crafters and commercial booths as well. Lodi Brewery is returning with the beer garden that was a popular addition last year.

 The Penetrators Band covers great music artist such as Kool & The Gang,  Credence Clearwater Revival,  James Brown,  Nelly, Rick James, Al Green, Boz Scaggs,  The Temptations,  Stevie Ray Vaughn,  Tommy Castro,  ZZ  Top, Santana,  Lynard Skynard, The Spinners,  Johnny Cash,  Commadores, Eric Clapton, Toto, Foreigner, Allman Brothers, Keb Mo, Hall and Oats, Bonnie Raite, Led Zepplin, Journey, and the Doobie Brothers.

Some of the past venues they’ve played are The  Iron Door located in Groveland,  The Florence located in Niles, Ollies and Babes located in Livermore, The Store, The Winchester, Windmill Cove , Garlic Brothers located in Stockton, The Shamrock located in Tracy, T’s located in Modesto, the former Isadore’s in Manteca ,Brookside Country Club Stockton , Woodbridge Crossing in  Woodbridge,  The Vintage Lounge in Lodi, and McGuire’s Irish Pub in Lodi.
