MAN ACCUSED OF STABBING MAN HE MET ON CRAIGSLIST: FONTANA . (AP) — A San Bernardino County man will face an attempted murder charge for allegedly punching and stabbing a man he met on Craigslist after the two had sex.

Anthony Saldivar, 21,  was arrested Friday at his home in Fontana.

Hospital officials called police after the victim showed up at an emergency room with a stab wound on his neck.

The victim told police he kissed Saldivar goodbye while dropping him off at home after their tryst. He says Saldivar became enraged and attacked him.

Police found the knife allegedly used in the attack in the victim’s car in the hospital parking lot.

FRESNO STATE’S BULLDOG MASCOT DIES AFTER BEE STING: FRESNO . (AP) — Fresno State’s bulldog mascot died Thursday from a severe anaphylactic shock caused by a bee sting.

Victor E. Bulldog II would have turned three next month.

“He attracted fans of all ages and was a loving face of Fresno State athletics,” senior associate athletic director Paul Ladwig said.

Fresno veterinarian Dr. Kelly Weaver donated the English Bulldog to the school.

“His unexpected passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of all who loved him,” Weaver said. “’’Victor E. loved people, loved attending Fresno State events and was larger than life when it came to being around big crowds. All of us will miss him tremendously.”

 

STUDENT ARRESTED AFTER SOCIAL MEDIA THREATS AGAINST SCHOOL: LAWNDALE . (AP) — School and sheriff’s officials say an 11th grade student has been arrested for allegedly making threats on social media against a Los Angeles County high school.

Allan Mucerino, acting superintendent of Centinela Valley Union High School District, says the teen was taken into custody Thursday morning.

Sheriff’s officials say someone alerted investigators late Wednesday to threats against Lawndale High School on the social media app Burnbook.
