BURNEY (AP) — Officials say evacuation orders have been lifted for one of two wildfires in Northern California.
State fire spokeswoman Lynne Polmachoff says the evacuation for residents who live in about a dozen homes near the Bald Fire was lifted Tuesday afternoon.
The evacuation comes after the U.S. Forest Service says the containment for the fire rose from 20 to 30 percent overnight Monday.
Polmachoff says the containment total was expected to further increase Tuesday evening because of light rain, cloudy conditions and increased humidity in the area.
The Bald Fire has already burned 62 square miles in the Lassen National Forest.
