STOCKTON — Whether you are looking for a girls’ night out or some romantic time together, Valentine Pops is the perfect choice.

John Pagano, a modern age singer who performs well-known standards with a freshness and unique style all his own, performs with the Stockton Symphony on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 6 p.m. at the Atherton Auditorium on the Delta College campus in Stockton. The performance is repeated again on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 2:30 p.m.

Pagano, the lead singer in legendary Burt Bacharach’s band for more than fourteen years, sings favorite love songs by Cole Porter, Sammy Cahn, Bacharach, and Leon Russell, backed by the rich sounds of the full Stockton Symphony — including “Call Me Irresponsible,” Time After Time,” “All the Way,” “This Guy’s In Love,” and more.

His childhood experience instilled an eclectic array of music in him, growing up in an Italian family in Providence, Rhode Island. “I am fortunate,” he reflects. “My parents and older siblings had great musical taste, and continually played me so much different music throughout my formative years.” In fact, Pagano’s father woke them each morning for school to the music of Sinatra.

Ticket can be purchased online at www.StocktonSymphony.org or by calling the Symphony office at (209) 951-0196. Tickets begin at $28, student tickets begin at $12. Patrons are urged to buy early for best seats and best prices
