SAN JOSE (AP) — Authorities in Northern California are investigating the shooting death of a man who was found night behind the wheel of Toyota in the center median along Interstate 680.
The East Bay Times reports California Highway Patrol Officer Ross Lee says the male victim found Monday night appears to be in his early 30s.
Lee says the CHP received a report regarding “possible shots fired” along northbound 680 in San Jose. When officers arrived they located the Toyota in the center median with the driver behind the wheel.
He says the man had at least one gunshot wound that did not appear to be self-inflicted.
Firefighters and paramedics declared the man deceased at the scene. His identity has not been released.
