SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A fire at a three-story home in San Francisco killed one person injured two, including a firefighter.

KGO-TV says the fire in San Francisco’s Laurel Heights neighborhood was reported early Monday.

San Francisco Fire Department Division Chief Lorrie Kalos said a man and woman living at the house were trapped in a top-floor bedroom.

The man was killed in the blaze and the woman was critically injured and being treated for significant burns.

San Francisco Fire Department Chief of Operations Mark Gonzales said the firefighter was being treated for burns. He said when crews entered the home “the fire rolled over them.”

He said the firefighter was expected to be OK.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
