SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A San Francisco man is being accused of running a fake clinic and performing liposuction on a woman whose fat he flushed down the toilet.
Prosecutors say 48-year-old Carlos Guzmangarza was arrested Thursday for allegedly operating a bogus clinic and posing as a physician's assistant with a similar name. He's scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Guzmangarza is accused of smoking a cigar while performing liposuction on a Daly City woman last year.
Prosecutors say a few days later he showed up at the patient's home with six pounds of fat and flushed it down her toilet. The patient learned the man was a fraud after her abdomen became infected and she saw a doctor.
Prosecutors say Guzmargarza also treated her daughter's acne with injections.
