SACRAMENTO (AP) —  The National Weather Service says a cold front coming down from the northwest  dropped some rain in the Sacramento region Sunday, which could see up to three-quarters of an inch of rain that is expected to continue to this

Forecasters said the storm could dump 4 to 8 inches of snow at about 7,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada, and possibly up to 12 inches of snow along the highest mountain peaks.
