Stockton Chorale concert features Faures Requiem

The Stockton Chorale will sing one of the best known chorale works, Faure’s Requiem on October 29 and 30. First sung in the United States in 1931, the work was actually composed between 1887 and 1890 and performed at Gabriel Faure’s funeral in 1924.

The concert will be presented 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 29, at the Central United Methodist Church, 3700 Pacific Avenue, Stockton and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, at  the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi.

Single concert tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets are general admission and may be purchased at the door or on our website, www.stocktonchorale.org, or through Chorale members.  For more information, call the Stockton Chorale office at (209) 951-6494.
