The Swiss Hall in Ripon comes alive with a party – sometimes even two or three celebrations – every month – with several of them open to anyone including those who have no blood connections to someone in the Alpine region of Europe.

They range from the perennially popular Swiss Echoes spring concert which is coming up on April 18, to a spring schwingfest, Buebe Schwingfest, fall Schwinfgest and Octoberfest. One of the three happenings at Christmas is for the young ones, along with the young once – parents and grandparents – and that’s the Children’s Christmas party.

Past events this year were the Valentine’s Day potluck on Feb. 15, the Schwinger’s Crab Dinner & Dance on March 7, and the Spring Jass party on March 22.

Upcoming ones for the rest of the year are the following: the Swiss Echoes spring concert on Saturday, April 18; Spring Schwingfest on June 6; members’ barbecue & Buebe Schwingfest on July 25; Fall Schwingfest on Sept. 12; Oktoberfest on Oct. 3; Swiss Echoes Fall Concert on Oct. 17; Fall Jass Party on Nov. 1; Swiss Echoies Christmas dinner on Dec. 6, annual general meeting on Dec. 9; and, Children’s Christmas party on Dec. 13. Clean-up day is on May 9 when the facility receives its annual sprucing-up.
