Manteca’s Teen Adult Senior prom is unlike any other prom.

The brainchild of the Manteca Youth Advisory Commission as well as the Manteca Senior Advisory Committee, it is designed to bring generations together -adults who are often retired  along with teens - to enjoy a prom-style evening of music, fun, appetizers, beverages, and even a souvenir photo.

In the past, teens shared their dance moves with the older generations and vice versa. Adults take great delight in learning the latest moves while teens are eager to try everything from the fox trot to waltzes.

This year’s teen adult senior prom takes place this Friday, June 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane.

Tickets are $10 per person. They are available at the Manteca Parks and Recreation Department, 252 Magnolia Ave., as well as the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane.

The prom has a Mardi Gras theme. Those attending are encouraged to dress to impress with semi-formal or formal attire.
