Three major community egg hunts and festivities are planned for Saturday.
And they are all free.
The biggest Easter egg hunt party in the South County takes place in Lathrop at New Life Church at 107 D’Arcy Parkway from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The New Life bash — now in its fifth year — is much more than just a chance to hunt for 15,000 free Easter eggs which, is the largest number being hidden in the area. There will be go carts, train rides, inflatables, Airsoft contests, carnival games, egg decorating, and crafts. The entire event dubbed Easter EGGsplosion takes place on the New Life campus and it’s free.

Manteca hunt
The longest running community egg hunt in the South County staged by the Manteca Kiwanis for more than three decades takes place Saturday at 11 a.m. sharp at the Northgate Park softball fields.
The free event is open to youth ages 1 to 10.
“I would like to thank my fellow Kiwanis members for their hard work making the Annual Easter Egg Hunt a success,” said event coordinator George Montross. “A big thank you goes out to Casino Real and the City of Manteca Mid Managers Association for their generous donations.  I’d also like to thank the City of Manteca for donating the use of Northgate Park, the Parks and Recreation Department and the Police Department’s Explorers. “

Ripon hunt
Calvary Reformed Church is staging a free Easter egg hunt for all children in the fourth grade and younger on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mavis Stouffer Park in Ripon. Registration is at 9:30 a.m.
