Two seats on the Ripon City Council will expire at the end of this year.
Seat No. 1 is currently held by Mayor Michael Restuccia while Seat No. 5 is occupied by Dean Uecker.
The two incumbents along with anyone interested in running for a council seat during the Nov. 6 general election can do so by takin out filing papers at Ripon City Hall, 259 N. Wilma Ave., during business hours, at the office of the City Clerk.
According to Deputy City Clerk Trisha Raymond, the Notice of Election will begin sometime in mid-July and in to August.
If an incumbent fails to file, the deadline will be extended a week to anyone except the incumbent.
Restuccia is completing his second go-around on the council, having taken time out prior to 2014 after previously holding the same office.
Uecker is a local businessman with the longest tenure on the five-member board.
The numbered board seats are conducted on a rotating basis per year, with Seat No. 1 – the mayoral seat – being on top of the rung.
Election for the city council is conducted at-large voting.
