About four or five times a year, Sister Ann Venita Britto and her Ministry of Caring will conduct a special Thanksgiving luncheon for those at Valley CAPS.

This is the day program for adults with developmental disabilities.

Last Friday, Sister Ann along with Sheila Robello and Darlene Auch served up lunch and paid tribute to the nearly 30 attending the function held in the St. Anthony’s parish gymnasium concession room.

“Everyone looks forward to playing games and dancing,” Sister Ann said.

She also distributed door prizes everyone there not to mention allowing Valley CAPS consumer Jessica Quesada to sing the “Let it Go” from Disney’s Frozen.

Sister Ann, in addition, sang Happy Birthday to Cheryl Pelt, who has been a helper with Valley CAPS for the past seven years.

She’s preparing for her Christmas luncheon scheduled for Dec. 18.

Along with Valley CAPS, Sister Ann welcomes all seniors and special guests regardless of their religious affiliations.
