The Commons at Union Ranch - to honor the 19 veterans within its community plus others in Manteca - is hosting a Veteran’s Day Celebration today from 3 to 5 p.m. at the complex on North Union Road next to Del Webb at bridge.

It includes a traditional flag retirement ceremony performed by the Boy Scouts of America, a Color Guard performance by JROTC from East Union High School, a musical performance by The Commons Bell Group, a presentation by Gold Star Mom Becky Mizener, a gift basket raffle benefiting Packed With Pride and a BBQ.

The Commons at Union Ranch, built and opened in 2008, is one in a portfolio of five Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities. Premiera Care, the local manager of The Commons at Union Ranch, was founded by Don Peterson in 1999. It is headquartered in Oakdale.
