RIPON — The Ripon Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary is staging their 2nd annual Harvest Festival, dinner, dance, raffle and comedy fashion show on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the VFW Hall located at 12455 W. Ripon Road.

Only 250 tickets will be sold to this event for a $10 donation and can be purchased at the office of Dean Uecker at Farmers Insurance or at the VFW Hall.

Dinner at 6 p.m. features chicken cordon Bleu, baked potato, vegetables, salad, bread, and dessert on the menu. The raffle at 7 p.m. offers a top prize of a 3-day, 2-night vacation for two to Reno. A comedy show is at 8 p.m.

All proceeds from the fashion show will go to help our hospitalized veterans at the Livermore VA Hospital. Wait until you see models like Ripon Mayor Red Nutt or Ripon City Councilman Dean Uecker, or our amazing Veterans and Men’s Auxiliary strut their stuff in ladies’ fashions from the bedroom to the ballroom. This is an adults-only show.
