Video may showcase City of Ripon

A video showcasing Ripon could be under consideration at some point.

The first step of that happening will take place Tuesday when the Ripon City Council will hear a presentation by CGI Communication during the 7 p.m. open session.

The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

CGI Communication has done community showcase videos, highlighting what these places offer to residents, business owners and visitors.  According to the staff report, these videos typically focus on city-select topics, including business and industry, living and schools, real estate and relocation, community organizations, and economic development.

CGI is proposing to do likewise for the City of Ripon at no cost. Funding, instead, will be paid through advertising.

Thus far, the video folks have already met with the Economic Development committee.

Other agenda items include:

A proclamation honoring Jacob Hutchison for earning his badge of Eagle Scout.

uAn amendment to the dispatch contract with the Escalon Police Department via the Ripon Police Department, revising the description and timing of the annual contract and providing additional staff to assistant EPD in the event of a computer and telephone outage.

Approving and authorizing the Mayor Chuck Winn to sign the cooperative agreement with the City and the San Joaquin Council of Governments.
