The Doctors Hospital of Manteca Auxiliary was honored on Monday for more than 10,000 hours of service to the community over the last year. Student volunteers logged nearly 3,000 hours.

Administrators Mark Lisa and Carmen Silva personally thanked the 40 members in attendance at the noon luncheon that was held in the conference center at the hospital as did auxiliary president Johnette Ragsdale.  Ragsdale and her fellow officers held the same posts in 2009 as they again accepted this year.

Leona Van Groningen donated 7,000 hours of her time in 2009 followed by Dorothy Orsborn with 3,500 hours.  Judy Groen served the auxiliary for 2,500 hours during the year and Gayle Foster and Johnette Ragsdale both logged 1,500 hours each.  Rose Dambiasso had 1,000 hours devoted to hospital care.

Volunteers with 500 hours were Sharon Andermahn, Joan Barbera, Jennie Cantrell, Fredda Mooney, and Elizabeth Wilson.

There were eight with 100 hours of service each.  They were Edith Brown, Betty Campbell, Ann Canfield, Amy Conklin, Cecelia Drake, Ruby Evans, Georgie Furrer and Luanne Partridge.
