Following a three-day interruption of rail service due to weather conditions, the Altamont Corridor Express continues limited service today and Monday with full resumption of service expected by next Tuesday.
One passenger train is being put back into service today, according to an ACE spokesperson.  The ACE 03 was to have left the Lathrop/Manteca station at 5:54 a.m. with the evening ACE 06 returning to Lathrop/Manteca at 6:23 p.m.
ACE has a schedule in place for Presidents’ Day on Monday with the ACE 03 and 05 trains scheduled for morning runs and the 04 and 06 trains running in the commuter afternoon return runs.
Flooding along the tracks in the Central Valley caused by rising water along the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and a train derailment south of Elk Grove forced Union Pacific Railroad that operates the tracks to reroute freight trains through the Altamont corridor.  That rerouting forced ACE to suspend its commuter service Monday through Wednesday. 
ACE regularly has four westbound trains from Stockton in the morning running through Manteca and four eastbound trains from San Jose in the afternoon.  ACE has 10 stations from Santa Clara, Alameda and into the San Joaquin County including Tracy, Manteca and Stockton.
