WIND GROUNDS BALLOONS
Three of the dozens of balloonists that were involved in this year’s Color the Skies at Ripon’s Mistlin Park went ahead Sunday morning and filled up their balloons with hot air and tethered them to the ground for those attending to see. Winds clocked at 22 mph cancelled the launch Saturday while Sunday’s wind at upper levels would have made landings difficult and dangerous.
