A 67-year-old Manteca grandmother is in “very critical condition” following a Wednesday accident in the 700 block of North Main Street when she was struck by a BMW 335i sedan at about 5:20 p.m.
Manteca Police officers said the woman was walking across the heavily traveled street in the dark with her 8-year-old grandson after leaving Burger King. 
The impact of the crash caused her to flip up and over the car and land in the street. She was taken to a trauma center by ambulance.
