A 45-year-old mother of 12 is facing a long recovery after intentionally being run over by a car early Thursday evening.  According to a family member, who spoke to the Bulletin Saturday night, she suffered from internal bleeding and had extensive trauma to her bladder and to her pelvis.

Jamilah Dubose, 34, remains in the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp without bail and is charged with attempted murder for allegedly running the woman over twice with her sedan in the 1300 block of Primavera Avenue.

A Manteca traffic officer arrested Dubose shortly after the vehicle assault, finding her in the 1500 block of Gianna Lane east of Airport Way and north of Louise Avenue.

The victim was airlifted to a major trauma center by helicopter shortly after the incident occurred.  The family member said the woman has been in serious pain and is having reconstructive pelvis surgery that will require a lot of rehabilitation. He added that all of her children and other family members are praying for her recovery.

Police suggested the motive behind the incident could possibly have involved a love triangle.

The suspect is scheduled to appear today in the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court.
