Youth Advisory Commission needs 10 new teens to serve

The Manteca City Council is seeking applications for the Youth Advisory Committee.

The group of teens advise the council on youth issues as well as help stage several events including junior high dances, a prom dress closet, a senior-teen prom, a kids fishing derby, and other activities.

The terms of 10 of the 12 commissioners are expiring after serving two-years. Seven have graduated high school and are no longer able to apply to serve. They are Ashley Polanco, Jena Anderson, Jesus Anguiano, Laura Barbosa, Jose Carranza, Crystal Sepulveda, Katie Vaught, and alternate Brian O’Brian. The other three whose terms are expiring are Hailee Bouthillier, Gabriel Cole, and Miguel Barbosa.

Applicants must reside within the Manteca Unified School District.
