Abelardo A. Gomez 67, entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2012 in Stockton. He was born on January 8, 1945 in Granada, Nicaragua to the late Abelardo and Josefa Gomez.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years Olga Gomez of Stockton, his loving children are; Kevin Gomez and companion Sylvia Alaniz of Stockton, Karina Harper and husband Scott of Lathrop, Triana Sauceda and husband Antonio of Stockton and Abelardo Gomez Jr. and wife Janelle of Stockton. Abelardo loved his grandbabies; Brianna, Alyssa, Halie, Trianna, Mariah, Mercedes, Kiyoshi, Experanza, Tatiana and Kaeson. Abelardo has 1 surviving siblings; Maria Vasques and husband Edgar.
Abelaro was a retired bus driver for the city of San Francisco. He had a great personality making sure he would lighten up your day with a good joke and his friendly tap on the shoulder (acting like he didn’t know who did it). Abelardo had rhythm in his blood as he could dance to any salsa and merengue music that would play. San Francisco was his work place, but he considered it sometimes home and like a true San Franciscan he was a true Giants fan. Abelardo’s pride and joy was his family. His grandbabies were the apple of his eye, he adored them immensely. Family get-togethers were more of an event, than an occasion as he was always the life of the party. He will be remembered for how much love he gave to his family, the unconditional love he shared with his wife and for having a true heart of “gold”. He will be missed dearly.
