Adeline V. Leuenberger
January 11, 1918-June 12, 2011

30-year Manteca resident, Adeline Leuenberger, 93, entered into rest on June 12, 2011, in Manteca, California.

She was born on January 11, 1918, in Wisconsin to the late Martin and Laura Strey.  In heaven, Adeline joins her loving husband of 61 years, Fred Leuenberger who passed away in 2009, and her 3 sisters – Meta Greening, Myrtle Thews and Elaine Hanneman.
Mrs. Leuenberger is survived by her children Janice Bresee and Glen Leuenberger of  Manteca and Dennis Leuenberger of the Philippines. Adeline was blessed by four grand-children; Kim Otuafi of  Hawaii, Sara Leuenberger of  New Mexico, Jenny Bresee and Kevin Bresee both of  Santa Clara and 6 great-grandchildren.
Adeline was a resident of Manteca for over 30 years.  She was a member of  the Manteca Senior Center and United Lutheran Church.  She liked to cook, bake and was well known for her Christmas candy and cookies. She was an avid reader; reading scripture passages daily. She thoroughly enjoyed clipping newspaper articles, reading and rereading past community, national events and cookbooks. Adeline will be remembered as a simple person with a loving heart.  Adeline will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Mrs. Leuenberger’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son of Manteca.  She will be laid to rest privately with her beloved husband at Tracy Mausoleum.  A memorial service will be held in Adeline’s honor on July 9, 1 p.m. at United Lutheran Church.  In lieu of  flowers suggested donations can be sent to United Lutheran Church, 649 Northgate Dr., Manteca, CA 95336 .
