Aileen Rose Myers, age 79, entered into rest peacefully in Manteca on March 14, 2011. She was born on October 21, 1930 in Tracy to the late Percy and Martha Morford. She was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Sammy Myers, two daughters, Loretta Wells and Barbrah Price, and a brother, Robert Morford.

Aileen leaves behind her children, Lola Moore of Midland, TX, Phyllis Mattix (John) of Bangs, TX, Rev. Jim Myers (Judy) of Fallon, NV, Charles Myers (Becky) of Cashmere, WA, Gale Green (Tim) of Manteca, and Becky Smith (Curt), Manteca. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Aileen is also survived by her brother, James Morford and his wife, Nancy.

Aileen devoted her entire life to the ministry for Jesus Christ, serving as a pastor alongside her husband and faithfully reading her Bible daily. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Bible Theology. She was an accomplished musician. She loved to sing, play the piano, organ, accordion, trumpet and violin. Aileen retired from the San Joaquin County clerk’s office after 12 years of service. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a woman of faith. She will be missed dearly.

Arrangements are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 1 to 5 p.m. at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home. A Chapel service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 1 p.m. at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
