Albert Ftacek

Albert Ftacek, 90, entered into rest  on Friday, November  14, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 15, 1924 to Stephen and Mary Ftacek. In heaven Albert joins his adored children, Dennis and Annie Ftacek.

He leaves behind his wife of nearly 66 years Helen Ftacek of Manteca. His children are, Stephen Ftacek, James Ftacek, Karen Sayers, Mary Hayes, Therese Mason, Vicki Spencer, Judy Nebeker and Philip Ftacek. He was blessed with 23 gradchildren and 21 great grandchildren. In addition Albert has two surviving siblings, Andy Ftacek and Ella Wirth.

Albert was a Manteca Resident for over 52 years. He retired from L.O.F. glass after 30 years. Albert was a WWII veteran serving his county proudly through the United States Army Air Corps, flying in 35 missions.  A faithful Catholic and head sacristan for over 20 years at St.  Anthony’s Catholic Church, Albert lived his life with God always first. He was faithful to our Blessed Virgin Mary and kept her close to his heart. He loved his family dearly and his love was ever so present. He will be remembered as a devoted husband a loving father and a true Shepard of God. He will be missed.   

P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Ftacek family. Visitation will be on Monday, November 17, 2014, from 1:00pm to 7:00pm with a Rosary immediately following. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca, California.
