Alberta Silva, 97, entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.

Alberta was a resident of Manteca for 92 years. She was very patriotic and worked at the Manteca Cannery during World War II until the cannery closed. She then went into retail in uptown Manteca until she retired. She was a volunteer at the Manteca Historical Society in her later years.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Frank V. Silva & daughter, Joyce Ann Pedro.

She leaves behind daughters, Shirley Sealey of Washington State, and Darlene Elliott of Manteca, 9  grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements are private. In-lou of flowers, donations can be made to the Manteca Historical Society, 600 W. Yosemite Ave., Manteca CA, 95336, or Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.

Alberta will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
