Surrounded by his loving family, Alberto Ramos, 92, entered into rest on June 12, 2014 in Manteca. He was born on July 12, 1921 in Guadalajara, Jalisco,  Mexico to the Late Miguel & Altagracia Ramos. In heaven he joins his parents, 5 siblings and his two children Albert Jr. and Catalina

Mr. Ramos is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Mary Ramos. He has 9 surviving loving children; Michael Ramos (Concha), Carmen Ramos, Armando “Pepe” Ramos (Lourdes), Linda Ramos, Connie Ramos Trujillo (Dennis), Mary Ramos, Blanca Ramos Silva (Armando), Victor Ramos (Ana) and Eddie Ramos (Tina “Chickie”). He was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A longtime resident of Oakland, Alberto retired after 35 years of services from Owen Illinois Brockway Glass Company in Oakland. While living in Oakland he was a member of St Jarlath’s Catholic Church. After retirement he then moved to Tracy where he was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. He was also a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where he attended with his children. Alberto was a sports fanatic; he was an avid fan of boxing, the Oakland A’s, Oakland Raiders, Golden State Warriors, and Soccer. He enjoyed trips to local casinos, weekend drives to the coast, and vacations trips all over the United States visit family. He loved listening and dancing to music and especially loved listening to his son’s Mexican music while playing along with is maracas. Above all Alberto unconditionally loved his children and grandchildren as his face would light up a room when speaking their names. He was always a loving man where his home was always open to all. His kind generous spirit never went unnoticed as he was a loving husband, an amazing father and a devoted grandfather & great-grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 3:30 to 7 p.m. followed by a rosary & celebration of life at 7p.m. both held at P.L. Fry Chapel 290 N. Union Road. Manteca, Ca. A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North St., Manteca. He will be laid to rest at Tracy Public Cemetery.
