Alfonso Casillas

January 13, 1920 to September 10, 2013

 Alfonso Casillas, 93, entered into rest September 10, 2013. He was born in Jerome, Arizona on January 13, 1920. He leaves behind his wife Caroline Casillas of Manteca, children, Alfonso David Casillas of San Leandro; Monica Garcia of Manteca and Andrew ( Ofelia ) Casillas of Los Angeles.  He was blessed with three grandchildren; Ana, Richard and Michael Casillas all of Los Angeles. In addition he has three surviving siblings, Eliza Padilla of AZ; Lidia Robles of MX; and Elvira Cuevas of AZ.

Alfonso was a Manteca resident for 16 years. Before moving to Manteca, San Leandro was his home. He served his country proudly in the Army during WWII, a service that he was most proud of. After his service he worked in San Francisco as a machinist. He loved to garden and travel. In his younger years he loved to dance and listen to his favorite Big Bands and Latin groups. He loved his entire family and held them close to his heart. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He will be dearly missed.

P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Casillas family. A Prayer Service will be held at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Tracy Mausoleum, 8842 W. Shulte Road, Tracy, Ca.
