Freddie was born in Hilo, Hawaii on April 22, 1919. Freddie came to the mainland in 1963. He was a member of the 50th State Club and the Puerto Rican Mutual Aide Organization. He coached baseball, loved dancing, wrestling, bowling, the Oakland Raiders and the SF Giants. He worked and retired from the Naval Public Work Center, SFB in grounds maintenance with 29 years. Freddie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Isabella “Bella” (Galarza), daughter Veronica and son Clayton. He leaves Martha (Hesse) Dawkins, companion and care giver, daughters Priscilla (Helenihi) and Doreen (Foster), sons LeRoy and Lawrence, 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, a sister Alice Yamaguchi and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, January 21, 9:00am, Sorensen Chapel, 1140 B St, Hayward. Interment immediately following to the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd, Hayward. Family and friends are invited to The PRUMA Center, 616 E. St, Union City, for a Celebration of Life on completion of services.
