 Alice F. Machado, 94, entered into rest on November 23, 2015 in Manteca, CA. She was born in the Azores Alice was the fourth child of six children to the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Florinda Machado on November 10, 1921. She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Joe R. Machado Jr. and son Ron Machado.
   Alice moved to the United States from the Azores when she was eight years old. She and her husband owned and operated Circle JM Dairy.  After the passing of her husband in 1969 Alice ran the family Dairy for 72 years while raising her six children; displaying the perfect balance of strength, loyalty, love, and courage. Throughout the years she was a dedicated mother always volunteering with 4-H, FFA, San Joaquin County Fair, and St. Anthony’s Catholic School. Alice was a devout Catholic as she was a member of St. Antony’s Catholic Church. Always showing generosity and vitality, Alice involved herself in many organizations; MRPS, St. Anthony’s, YLI, Catholic Daughters, Manteca Garden Club, Cabrillo Club of California, Woman of Ag (CWA), Farm Bureau, Manteca Historical Society, LUSO, and PFSA; just to name a few. Her compassion and love towards others never went unnoticed as her doors were always open with a warm heart and a lovely welcoming smile. When adversity arose, Alice always held her composure with kindness and of course with a strong-will. She will be remembered as an amazing mother and a wonderful Avo and Bisa Avo. She will be deeply missed by all who adored her.
   Alice leaves behind her loving family; children, Richard Machado the late (Loretta), Cecelia Machado Souza (Frank Jr.), Edward Machado (Lorie), Alyce Machado Luis, and Joe R. Machado III. She was blessed by twelve grandchildren; Richard, Robert, Raymond, Frank, Celisa, Edward, Elayna, Meagan, Ron, Anthony, Annalicia and Joseph as well as 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition, Alice is survived by one brother Joe J. Machado (Lillian).
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Machado family. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 3  p.m. to 5 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. A rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North St., Manteca. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. also at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at San Joaquin Catholic Mausoleum, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the MRPS Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 929., Ripon, CA. 95366 or St. Antony’s Education Foundation,
