A resident of French Camp for over 43 years, Alice Jane Bordenave passed away on December 24, 2017, in French Camp, CA at the age of 91.  She was born on August 20, 1926 in Denair, CA, to the late Alfred and Amelia Bischo. 
   Alice is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert L. Bordenave, as well as her son John P. Bordenave, daughter-in-law Jennifer Bordenave and siblings, Adeline Chipley, Dorothy Scharli and Anthony Bischo.            
   She is survived by her daughter Renee Bordenave- Leonard and her husband Christopher of Manteca, CA, as well as grandchildren, John P. Bordenave, Jr. (Amanda) of Manteca, Christine Bordenave of Escalon, Robert Bordenave (Amber) of French Camp, Ryan Leonard of Sparks, NV, and Erin Leonard (Terry) 
of  Manteca, 10 great- grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
  Alice was an active community member as she was the Head Leader of Manteca 4-H Club with Alice Haffer, taught sewing in 4-H, was Past President of  Native Daughters of California, a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.  She worked as the bookkeeper for the trucking company that she owned with her husband, and also ran the elevator at the Bank of America in Stockton as well as work at Frozen Foods in Manteca.
   She was a sports enthusiast and liked watching the 49er’s, Kings, Notre Dame and Stanford games. Alice loved watching her grandson and great-grandson race sprint cars, and traveled often to see them race.  She loved her family deeply and will be missed by all.
   P.L. Fry is honored to be serving the Bordenave Family. A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 7 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. Mass will be Friday, January 5, 2018, at
11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 505 E. North St., Manteca.  An online guest book is available for condolences to the family at www.plfryandson.com.
