   Alice Leandro, 83, entered into rest on October 13, 2013, in Manteca, CA. She was born on June 30, 1930, in Santa Monica, CA. She joins her husband,  Joseph Leandro (married 60 years) as ell as her brothers Clifford & Morris Brace in heaven.
   Mrs. Leandro is survived by her children, Arlene Cline (James), Ron Leandro (Phoebe), Anita Murray (Wendell), and Benny Torres. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Jimmy (DeAnna), Chee, Sean (Kimberly), Todd (Marlen), Mary-Louise, Donald and Joey as well as nine great-grandchildren, Kolby, Jacob, Nathan, Christian, Michael, Juniper, Cristian, Isabella, and Annie. In addition she is survived by four siblings, Lorraine Kanaley, Shirley Jones, Theresa Martinez, and Louise Ortiz.
   Alice was a resident of Manteca for over 70 years. She was a devout Catholic and was a long time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, YLI, Legion of Mary, Perpetual Prayer and supported many Catholic missions throughout the United States. Alice worked at Doctors Hospital of Manteca for over 10 years as a dietician. Throughout Alice’s lifetime she cared for many foster children, which she loved as her own. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and caring for her dog and companion Bambi. Alice’s heart was always full of love and compassion as she commonly said she felt as if she had more to give to others. 
   Alice will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who loved her.
P.L. Fry & Son is honored to serve the Leandro family. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., held at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. A Rosary/Mass will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 E. North St., Manteca. She will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
