Alison Van Houten Freeseha was born on February 18, 1984 in Modesto.  She graduated from Ripon Christian High School and Western Pacific Trucking School.  

Alison adored her children and was totally devoted to them.  She loved taking them to the beach in Santa Cruz.  She worked for Rooco Rents in Elk Grove for approximately five years.  She absolutely loved driving truck, and her boss took a risk by hiring such a young driver.  He always said she was his No. 1 driver.   Alison was very creative.  She used her artistic side to design many banners for her boss and had a flair for home interior decorating.  She also loved taking pictures.    

Alison passed away on April 19, 2009.  Alison was also a devoted daughter, sister, co-worker, and friend to so many people.  Alison is survived by and will be exquisitely missed by her daughter, Kaylee (6) and her son, Matthew (3), her parents Adrian and Valerie Van Houten, her siblings Chad, Janna, and Lindsey, her grandmother Fem Van Houten, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Alison was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Vivian Weidert and John Van Houten. Alison is also survived by Matt Freeseha, his parents, siblings, grandparents and extended family, all who cared deeply for Alison.

Her visitation will be on Friday, April 24, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon. The burial will be at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon on Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m. followed by a service celebrating the life of Alison at 11 a.m. at the Escalon Christian Reformed Church. A memorial has been created to help care for her children.  Donations may be made to the Alison Van Houten Freeseha Memorial Fund, in care of Guaranty Bank, 3380 McHenry Avenue, Escalon, CA  95320.
