Alma McDonald, 89, entered into rest on January 31, 2012 in Manteca. She was born on September 3, 1922 in South Dakota. She joins her beloved husband David McDonald in heaven.

Alma leaves behind her loving children Kathy Stearman and husband Greg, Karen McDonald, Sharon McDonald, Sandy Stauffer and husband Jim and Margie Beasley and husband Mike. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Alma has one surviving sister Marlene Williams.

Alma was a elementary teacher for the Stockton area as well as substituting for Manteca Unified. Alma was a member at the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was involved in community services. For many years Alma babysat for the Church of Nazareth in their church nursery. Alma loved tending her garden as it always looking beautiful. She was a great seamstress, putting great effort into every stitch. Alma was a true friend to many as she cherished visiting with friends. She will be remembered for her special friendship that she had for all who knew and loved her.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the McDonald family. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 4th, 2012 from 11:00am – 1:00pm. A Service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm all held at P.L. Fry 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, CA. She will be laid to rest at a later date at East Union Cemetery.
