Amado Delos Reyes, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 in Modesto.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1925 in San Fermin, Caba, Philippines and resided in Manteca for 14 months.

Mr. Reyes is survived by his children, Jodie Delos Reyes of Lathrop and Amanda Delos Reyes of Washington; siblings, Telefora Cacanindin, David Delos Reyes and wife Mela and Camilo Delos Reyes and wife Julita; grandchildren, Desiree Ruiz and husband Jason, Jessica Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Amado Joseph Murphy, T.J. Major Jr., Renton and great-grandchild Juliana Rae Ruiz.

Amado was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service. He then worked for McDonald Douglas air craft manufacturer in Long Beach for 20 years. His hobbies were gardening, watching baseball and spending time at the horse races. He lived in Seattle, Washington for 19 years. He moved to Manteca 14 months ago. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. “You will always and forever be loved and missed.”

Arrangements are under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.

Visitation and rosary will be Sunday, Sept. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. and rosary will follow at 4 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son, Mass will be Monday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at St. George’s Catholic Church, 120 W. 5th Street, Stockton. Graveside service with military honors, Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 11:15 a.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 Southeast 240th Street, Kent, WA.
