Amelia Leslie, 94, entered into rest on January 6, 2014, Manteca, California. She was born on February 22, 1919 in Newman, California to the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel and Amelia Machado.
   Amelia is survived by her children; Manuel Leslie (Sue), Henry Leslie (Vicki) and Rena Bartlett (Harry). She was blessed with eight grandchildren; Tiffany Jones, Robert Jones, Manuel Leslie II, Megan Kellermey (Eric), Amantha Iskandar (Reza), Roxanne Silva, Kelly Clark, and Michael Clark as well as 21 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. In addition Amelia is survived by one brother Henry Machado.
   A devout Catholic, Amelia was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, and Jedidiah Smith. She enjoyed reading, crafts, working with beads, crocheting knitting and exploring the history of the old west and the Golden state of California. She loved to reminisce about old times and enjoyed telling stories about the good ol’ days. Amelia will be remembered for her reserved sweet spirit. She will be missed.
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Leslie family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. both held at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. A Mass will be held on Thursday January 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E. North St. Manteca.
