Mrs. Ann Boersma, age 95 passed away peacefully on June 13, surrounded by her family.  She was born on June 9, 1917 in Doon, Iowa.  She lived in Ripon, California for 75 years.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Dick Boersma, her parents, Jake & Johanna Weststeyn and her brother, John Weststeyn.  She is survived by her sisters Pearl Hoff, Wilhemina Levering, and her brother, Art Weststeyn.  She is also survived by her children Arvin & Terri Boersma, Jim & Tommijo Boersma, Joan & Phil Buckner, Janice & Chuck Hollander and Cheri Burke.  She had nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Ann was a life long member of the Reformed Church of America and served faithfully in the service of her Lord.  She was a talented homemaker, wife, and mom who provided her family with many wonderful memories.  Her skills in homemaking
included baking wonderful desserts, sewing, crocheting, and filling her yard with beautiful flowers. She and Dick enjoyed traveling, playing games, bowling and visiting with friends and family.

Visitation will be a Deegans Memorial Chapel in Ripon, Sunday June 17, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at Ripon Cemetery on Monday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. Her celebration of life will be in Calvary Reformed Church on Second Street and Vera Ave. at 11:00 o’clock. Memorials may be sent in her honor to Bethany Home.
